Volunteer for the Neighborhood Clean-Up (posted August 8, 2008)
Sure, the Neighborhood Clean-up is hard work, but it’s fun! You’ll be making District 10 a cleaner, sweeter, greener place to live and work.

That’s why the Como Community Council wants you to pitch in at our annual Neighborhood Clean Up on Saturday, Sept. 20 at the State Fair Grounds Camel Parking Lot on the corner of Larpenteur and Snelling.

This event gives residents of District 10 the opportunity to discard household items and demolition garbage.

We need a total of 35 volunteers to work a short shift helping to unload cars and trucks, and directing neighbors to the right dumpster or drop-off site.

The early shift is from 7:45 to 10: 30 a.m.
The later shift begins at 10:15 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m.

There will be a short training for all volunteers before they are assigned a work area. Beverages, treats and lunch are provided.

Volunteers get to dump their discards for free.

If you are interested please contact the District 10 office: District10@comopark.org or 651 644-3889.
